Walking around Naples is always a fascinating experience, especially when friends come to visit the city: I always show them one of my favorite routes that starts in the historic center of Spaccanapoli, where the narrow and vibrant streets are full of life and culture.

We continue to the majestic Cathedral of Naples, where I tell you the stories of San Gennaro. Then we head to the Pignasecca Market to savor authentic Neapolitan food: sfogliatelle, pizza fritta and espresso. In the afternoon, we venture to Castel dell'Ovo, enjoying the sea breeze and breathtaking views of the bay.

Super-Host in Naples

One afternoon, while strolling through the historic center of Naples, I came across a small square where a group of young street performers were putting on a theater performance. The energy and talent of these local artists made the audience stop and enjoy the show, creating a magical moment in the middle of the daily routine.

After the performance, I continued walking and made my way to the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore, where I joined a free tour that revealed fascinating historical and architectural details of the site. Continuing my exploration, I reached Via dei Tribunali, where I lost myself in the hustle and bustle of the local market, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere without spending a single euro.

If you're passionate about discovering Naples without spending much, I've compiled a list of the best free plans. From street concerts and visits to historic churches to scenic walks, this page will guide you to unforgettable experiences that don't require a budget.
