Discover one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in Italy
Take a guided tour of the Verona Arena to see one of Italy’s best-preserved Roman amphitheaters.
Meet your local guide in Piazza Bra and use your fast-track ticket to head inside.
Your guide will explain how the arena was built, its history and legends, and how it is used today. As you walk under the marble arches, you will hear stories about gladiators and Roman games.
You will also get to see the wing, which is the only surviving part of the original outer wall.
Learn how this amphitheater survived a 12th-century earthquake and how it continues to host its summer opera festival today.
