Templars and other military orders of the Iberian Peninsula presents the life and cultural environment that surrounds the activity of the knights committed to safeguarding the places considered holy for Christianity as well as their activity to protect lives and property of those who participated in the battles against the Muslims.
The tour, exhaustive and chronological, narrates the almost 200 years of history of the Order of the Temple and others such as that of the Hospitallers of San Juan, Calatrava, Santiago, Alcántara, Teutónica, Montesa, Avis or Cristo. The contribution of these orders was decisive in the formation of the Catholic kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula.
The exhibition is based on a base of pieces of heavy and light weapons, props, torture instruments, facsimiles, panels informative and interactive.
