Discover an underground wonder during your visit to Cueva El Soplao, located in Cantabria. This unique experience immerses you in a world of stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years. The 55-minute guided tour will take you through the cave's stunning formations.
To fully enjoy the experience, be sure to wear hiking footwear as the ground can be slippery, and dress warmly, such as with a fleece, as the cave's interior is cold (11°C) and very humid.
What makes this cave truly unique is its underground biodiversity. Dissolved manganese in the water allowed for the formation of colonies of microorganisms whose only source of energy comes from the oxidation of this mineral. A natural gem you won't want to miss!
